Fully automated machine built for a medical device company. The machine loads a sensor into a needle then assembles an applicator for a wearable medical device. This machine required ultra-precise tolerances and pinpoint repeatability. The machine incorporates two inner cells, which use live camera data to load a sensor into a needle. The machine then assembles an applicator for the wearable device. the wearable's components are fed into the machine on trays and the machine outputs fully assembled wearables onto trays. The machine uses 7 Epson Robots (4 SCARA and 3 six-axis) to load the needle and assemble the wearables. This is just one of many fully automated machines MiQ has built for a wide variety of customers in the life sciences and medical device industries.
