Why exhibit at Districts VIII and IX Annual Meeting:

• The districts are incorporating in cultural presentations and activities into the program. This includes a lecture (non-CME) on coral reef preservation by Dr. Greta Smith Aeby, Eyes of the Reef Hawai’i Founder.

• A discussion the Healing Stones presented by Hinaleimoana Wong-Kalu a Native Hawaiian māhū, filmmaker, artist, activist and community leader in the field of the Kanaka Maoli language and cultural preservation. 

• We are also looking to incorporate volunteer service opportunities that would include participating in the Genki Ala Wai Project that will contribute to the Ala Wai Canal’s ecosystem by making the canal fishable and swimmable again.
