2021 TRB Annual Meeting – A Virtual Event

Exhibit Booth Sales are Closed!

The TRB 100th Annual Meeting will be conducted as a virtual event, with sessions and exhibits on January 21–22 and January 25–29, 2021. The decision to go virtual was made in light of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), out of concern for the health and safety of all meeting attendees. The good news is that you still have the opportunity to exhibit virtually at the 2021 meeting.

If you previously signed up to exhibit at the original in-person event, you can transition to a virtual booth, receive a full refund of any deposit paid, or credit your deposit toward your 2022 exhibit. See the Policies for Space Purchased before July 21.

Why Exhibit at a Virtual TRB Annual Meeting?

  • Higher Attendance – Based on experience from similar conferences, attendance at virtual meetings is generally higher and, in many instances, substantially higher than previous face-to-face versions of the same meeting.
  • State DOTs – State DOTs expect to “send” significantly more employees to all or part of the virtual meeting. State DOT CEOs polled indicated that they personally will be encouraging their employees to attend TRB’s virtual Annual Meeting.
  • Diversity – Who’s going make up these additional attendees? They will be younger than those who typically are able to get travel approval, which means getting your brand in front of them now could pay dividends for years to come.
  • Accessibility – TRB will offer free exhibits‐only registration for the 2021 Annual Meeting, so exhibitors can reach an even larger‐than‐usual segment of the transportation research community. Exhibitors can call attention to the free exhibits‐only registration when inviting prospective clients to visit their booths.
  • Savings – Travel, hotel, and per diem for booth staff aren’t necessary for the virtual event. These expenses traditionally would account for 75% of the cost to exhibit.
  • Extended Hours – The virtual exhibit hall will be “live” on January 21–22 and January 25‐29, for four hours per day, for a total of 28 hours, compared to the 17 hours the exhibit hall typically is open at the in‐person meeting.
  • 24/7 Exposure – In addition to those “live” exhibit hours, the hall will be “open” 24/7 from January 21 through February 16, 2021, allowing meeting registrants to discover exhibitor offerings at any time, without constraints of exhibit hall schedule or time zones.
  • Convenience – Attendees can explore the exhibit hall more frequently, because it is only a click away.
