Cyanagen Srl is an Italian biotech company founded in Bologna in 2003.

The Company’s core business is designing, developing and

manufacturing reagents for life sciences (RUO) and In Vitro Diagnostics

(IVD). Mainly chemiluminescent substrates, fluorescent antibodies,

magnetic beads, and DNA/RNA extraction kits.

Our key technologies, covered by international patents, achieve

outstanding sensitivity, stability, performance and ease of use.

Thanks also to the OEM sales to global companies, Cyanagen is one of

the world’s leading manufacturers of chemiluminescent substrates for

    Western blotting and ELISA/CLIA.

Cyanagen also manufactures custom products according to clients’

specifications and starting materials in bulk sizes.

Thanks to its experience IVD manufacturing, Cyanagen offers

support in Analytical Validation Processes and for developing molecular

    diagnostics & biological assays.

Cyanagen actively partners with EU universities and other companies

    for national and international calls.

    Certifications: ISO9001:2015 – ISO13485:2016.

  • Compact and light, with sustainable use of water and no possible contaminations, WESTAR-TAB is the new, innovative single-use tab format for ECL for Western blotting designed to match the aim for ecological, responsible technology.

The WESTAR-TAB concept allows sensible reductions in the use of paper, plastics, and kit total weight and volume compared to the standard liquid formulation, with a correlated decrease in CO2 emissions in the kit distribution.

WESTAR-TAB SUPER is an ultra-sensitive substrate with an outstanding signal intensity, low background and stable light output at the low-femtogram level.

The kit is sized for twenty single uses: one tablet of formulation A and one of formulation B dissolved in 5 millilitres of pure water are valid for a 50 cm2 membrane. Dissolving takes less than fifteen minutes and can be carried out while secondary antibodies are incubated.

WESTAR-TAB SUPER exhibits top-level performance for the most challenging Western blotting application. With its very high signal-to-noise, this substrate is capable of detecting very low amounts of protein.

WESTAR-TAB SUPER can substitute the top performers substrates currently available on the market without any change in protocol.

  • WESTAR is the broad Cyanagen product line of two-component chemiluminescent substrates for Western blotting. WESTAR offer different levels of sensitivity, allowing for a detection range from picograms to attograms. Two of these substrates feature an extreme signal duration.
Our proprietary technology enables the fine-tuning of signal intensity to obtain the assay sensitivity and signal duration best suited to meet each experimental need.
  • WESTAR-ONE line includes three products with different levels of sensitivity, from picograms to low femtograms, covering all detection needs.

WESTAR-ONE pre-mixed solutions, based on proprietary technology, provide convenience, increased consistency in your results, avoiding pipetting errors and possible contaminations.

WESTAR-ONE substrates storage is at Room Temperature (RT).

  • STAR BEADS Silanol Magnetic beads for DNA/RNA extraction are
monodispersed magnetic particles, 1 μM in size, with high batch-to-batch
reproducibility. These high-capacity silica-based magnetic particles are
ideal for nucleic acid extraction in high quantities and purity, thus providing
an easy-to-use and fast way for DNA/RNA isolation, which is compatible with
    manual and automated procedures.
STAR BEADS Magnetic Beads are available also as magnetic silica
particles functionalised with various proteins (or antibodies) such as Protein
A and G, Streptavidin, etc., targeted for antibodies/protein purification and
immunoprecipitation assays. These beads are highly efficient with low nonspecific
binding and are compatible with manual and automated protocols.
